Tour de Turns is an original and unique charity bicycle ride (and now walk and corn hole tournament ) benefiting Loaves & Fishes, Inc., a 501(c)3 food pantry that served over 77,000 people in 2018 of which 46% were children!!!  Over the past seven years, TdT has netted over $190,000 to help turn the corner on local hunger!

Tour de Turns provides cycling and walking routes that wind through beautiful tree-lined South Charlotte neighborhoods.  Cyclist can choose from 15, 25, 37 or 62-mile routes and walkers can choose either 2.5 or 4.5-mile routes.  Cyclist and walkers will enjoy plenty of shade from the large trees along the routes in these established neighborhoods.  We also offer a Kids’ Bike Rodeo and Closed Loop Course within the safe confines of Carmel Road Neighborhood Park. Socializers can come and enjoy our “Under the Shade Trees Festival” which includes Lunch, Live Music, Raffle, Craft Beer Garden, Corn Hole Tournament and Support our Fundraising for Loaves & Fishes.

Come and experience the thrill and beauty of Tour de Turns!  One of our repeat riders is a serious road cyclist that has completed numerous 100-mile mountain rides such as Assault on Mt. Mitchell, BSG and Hincapie Gran Fondo says “Tour de Turns is the most fun he has had a bicycle since he was a kid!” 

Lunch is included for all registrants.  This year we selected Harris Teeter Catering at Morrocroft as our lunch vendor.  Stay around after your ride or walk and enjoy our “Under the Shade Trees Festival” that includes Live Music, a Craft Beer Garden by The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, Lunch, Raffles, Corn Hole Tournament and a Playground.  For full details, please visit www.tourdeturns.org.
